Dr. Trisha Charland
Originally a native of Florida, Dr. Trisha Charland graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry at New Jersey (UMDNJ).
Dr. Charland practiced general dentistry in the NJ metro area for several years. It was during this time that she found root canal procedures were her favorite part of dentistry. She enjoyed saving the natural tooth and providing relief for patients in pain. She returned to UMDNJ to receive her specialty training in Endodontics.
Due to her strong general dentistry background, Dr. Charland demonstrates a unique perspective when it comes to looking at the overall dental health of our patients. Like Drs. Malavia and Lafkowitz, Dr. Charland firmly believes in the importance of keeping up to date with advancements in the field of Endodontics and the importance of being an active member of the dental community. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the New York Dental Association. She has also co-authored a research article published in the Journal of Endodontics.
When Dr. Charland is not in the office, she enjoys skiing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband, two children and dog.
